We celebrated Mother's Day at Greenleaf with the family. Luckily this was prior to my surgery so at least I got out for a little bit before being laid up for weeks. There was a wait for our reserved table, not sure how that happens, but we took advantage of the bar and everyone was feeling good by the time we got our meals! Shannon and Matt couldn't make it, but hopefully next year they will!
Poor Hokie, the maroon beta fish, didn't survive while Jeff was away fishing. However, he lived a good long life and Emily said goodbye with a nice burial service at her grandparents house. She went back one last time to tell him goodbye. :(
I don't think there's much else to say about these pictures than WOW. After fishing all week at Buggs Island, all it took was a rainy afternoon back home to catch this monster. I might have jumped around for days if this thing ended up on my line! Nice job, baby!
