Last Day of School, Workouts and Walks

Mama has been getting all the workouts in whether it is walking the dogs or following the Morning Meltdown Beachbody program!

Frozen blueberries are cold!

We had a fly over in support of the frontline workers today.  It was cool to see these planes even though the picture doesn't really capture it. 

Peonies are my favorite!  The blooms are beautiful this year!!

Finley knows what to do when the music for Beachbody starts up...she opens the closet and starts pulling out bands for the workout! 

I held my last Zoom meeting of the year.  We had to hold an activity period type of activity for kids to sign up for so I chose to do chocolate chip cookie baking.  I had 14 girls sign up and it took us about 40 minutes to bake two batches!  It was much more fun than I thought it would be :)  I am thrilled to be done with Zoom meetings! 

Finley LOVED them.  She has only had chocolate one other time, so she went crazy when I let her try one. 

A walk up to Grandma's house with some cheerios makes for a nice afternoon. 

Happy 44th Birthday, Dada!

Unfortunately, Jeff had to work on his birthday so Finley and I made a video of her dancing to the happy birthday song and showing off her card to send to him.  Due to Covid, we could not go visit him at the station like we had planned months ago.  

I used the Cricut to make his card and the girls did a nice job with their cards for him too!

The day after his birthday, we got to spend some time outside and tried to figure out how we are going to do new stairs and concrete under the deck and screened in porch.  Unfortunately, my mom had to put down Gracie after a long battle with kidney failure so our evening was not the best to say the least.

This is my happy place after dinner and before bath time. 

Finley has to read again and again before bedtime.  Tonight she actually "hopped" down in her sleep sack trying to grab another book. 

What an amazing sunset!!

Dada finally got to open his gifts- two new pairs of fishing shoes and lots of fishing gear.  As usual, Finley loved playing with the wrapping paper and bows. 

Let's not forget the tiramisu!  This time it took 3 days to finish it because it would only eat some at lunch time. Ha! 

LOL shirtless at lunch time because he was so dirty from working outside. I've been making some really good lunches while he's outside - grilled chicken sandwiches, hot turkey sandwiches, cantaloupe and grapes or other fruit as sides.
