Veggies

The garden has exploded!  I ended up boiling the skin off of 9 cups of tomatoes that I froze to use however we'd like later on.  We also cooked the green beans in the crockpot with some chicken broth and bacon.  Next year we need to remember to pick them sooner so they aren't as tough! 

Future Fire/Rescue Women

We had several days in a row with the girls and on this day, like my girls day, Jeff was at work.  This time however we decided to go visit Station 11 and get a few lessons from the Captain.  We were good girls and brought him some Chic-fil-a for lunch too:)

After plenty of time visiting the engines, we moved on to the ambulance.  Both of the girls were intrigued with the back of the ambulance, especially after Jeff hooked them up to a couple of machines to get their blood pressure and heart rate.

I think they learned a lot!  And, I think we scared them a little when talking about what happens to people when they don't wear seatbelts!!

Just an average summer night-- riding scooters, getting thrown around by Jeff, walking dogs, and braiding my hair :) 

Girls Day!

I I had both girls to myself while Jeff was at work and boy did we make a day out of it!  We started out with 2 hours at the pool in the morning, then moved on to gardening and playing outside.  Afterwards we headed to the movies to watch " " and finally, after we had dinner we went to Kline's for ice cream!  I think I may spoil them just a bit!

Honeymoon?

No, we didn't have a honeymoon, but the beach trip the week before was just perfect!  So the day after the wedding we spent the morning cleaning up and packing up only to come up and unpack and clean some more;)  Then we decided to get back to the normal routine.  We had my parents come down for lunch since we had tons of leftovers which was awesome! 

Hailey ended up staying with us and we did plenty of work in the garden, along with some sunbathing and fixing one of the refrigerators. Emily came over the next day and we also spent some time outside with the dogs and played barbies in the pool while Jeff picked a table saw from a friend that he will use in his wood shop!
