We made our 2nd annual trip to Swannanoa for a round of Father's Day golf. The weather was just perfect, especially when you get there at 8:00 am! Knowing that our golf game was coming up, Jeff and I researched women's clubs and I am now the proud owner of a set of Cobras and a new bag! I absolutely loved playing with them. Now, we just need to find more time to get out there and play. Emily's game has definitely improved and her golf cart driving skills have a tad too;)

Strawberry Moon!
Mom and I went on what seemed like a wild goose hunt in search of the Strawberry Moon (the full moon in June). We drove up on the parkway way too early for the moon, but lucked out with some good photos and saw a few deer. After getting tired of waiting for the moon we headed back down the mountain and it just a few minutes missed it actually rising over the horizon, but mom was still able to get some good photos at another overlook and then again at home.

Father's Day!
We had a wonderful Father's Day complete with gifts at home, a trip to see Butch and then dinner with my dad and Mike at Rowe's. I think we were all pretty pooped by dinner time and the slow service didn't help, but we made the most of it. The girls love eating there because they get free ice cream for dessert.
Somehow everyone made out with gifts from my dad on Father's Day, not sure how that happened! I got an awesome necklace that was engraved and my own Yeti cup. It was certainly the day of the Yetis...I gave Jeff a large one with our monogram as well as his own cup with his monogram. I designed a monogram for the one that I gave to dad as well and a monogram for mom and yes, Jeff's dad got a cup as well! Mike even made off with one too:)
I'm pretty sure that Jeff's favorite gift was a router that he had been dying to have but wouldn't spend the money on. That's what I am here for:)
And of course some dog pics and garden update....

Summer Nights
It's not summer without catching lightning bugs, an evening trip to get ice cream, wicked thunderstorms, or stealing blueberries from the bush to make sure they are ripe!

Family Shooting Day
FINALLY, we were able to get everyone out to practice shooting!! Either we've been too busy or dad hasn't felt well enough, but today was the day that dad was able to try out some of his new toys. Even though mom wasn't into as much as the rest of it, she hung in there and I maybe even enjoyed it a little.

Giant Carrot
Somehow one of the carrots that we started growing last year made it through the winter and continued growing like crazy this spring. We've dug it up and replanted it several times just to look at it. However, there comes a time when all good things come to an end. The carrot was shading our other plants so we decided to dig it up for good. Emily and Hailey have been obsessed with seeing what it looks like for weeks!

Wilson Carnival
Today we took Emily to the Wilson Elementary School carnival. There were tons of activities, tons of dirty smelly children running around, and tons of money made for the school. ;) Hailey ended up being there with Wyatt as well, so it was nice to see her! Emily fell asleep as soon as she took a shower once we got home. Pretty sure all that running around did her in!
