End of Hunting Season

This hunting season came to an end with me shooting one doe for the year.  Jeff shot two does for a friend, so we have some meat, but not nearly as much as usual.  We had some nice days, but plenty of windy, cold days as well which are always fun. ;)  On the very last day of the season we ran over the Wild Rose to explore in the snow.  It was beautiful and quiet and we saw some tracks, but no deer.  It was the first time I really got to be out in the snow during hunting season.  It's amazing what you can see in the snow!

Windy....grrrr

Check out this HUGE rub....there are some monster out there that we just don't get to see

Last day fun in the snow

Beautiful, and you can see where they have been crossing

It was a mere 18 degrees and snowy.

Happy New Year!

We celebrated New Year's Eve by going to Jake's Bar and Grill for dinner and then back  home to relax and watch the ball drop!  Of course the best part was the people watching at the restaurant!
