Happy 43rd Birthday, Daddy!

This year we had a much slower/hectic birthday between Finley wanting to feed all day, Jeff getting a bug in his eye the night before at work which scratched it and Jack getting bit by a snake.  UGH! 

Happy birthday to the man that had to clean the house all morning and cook his own birthday dinner with a scratched eye!  We are so thankful for all that you do for us each and everyday!  

Emily had her first attempt at bottle feeding as well...it took a while to get the hang of it but I think she enjoyed herself. She gave Daddy a new beach outfit and he also got plenty of fishing gear, a book from Finley and somehow I managed to still make his tiramisu. 

By the time I remembered to take a picture of us, we were both in our pajamas. haha! Oh how things have changed.

Goodnight Daddy

This is how Finley feels about Daddy leaving us and going back to work... I have to agree with her on this one.  Ugh!  We had a pretty good routine going over night with Jeff getting up to take her out of the room around 4:00 am so I could sleep for a couple of hours.  Now I have 5 days in a row of not being able to do that due to his on one day, off the next day schedule.  Booo.  Being gone for 24 hours is such a long time!  

While he was gone to work, we worked on making him a birthday card with the Cricut and tried to get some pictures!  Her expressions are hilarious!

Someone has recently figured out how to smile!  Each day she is able to show us those gummy smiles just a little bit more and we are eating it up.

I've been trying to get at least one thing done throughout the day, even though I feel confined to the loveseat with a hungry girl for most of the day.  Today I was able to bake some blueberry lactation muffins!

Addition to Truck and Sweet Girl

Sweet girl is watching the ceiling fan....I think it is her favorite!

We finally got the new campershell and racks install on the truck.  It looks so good!  Even better than its looks is its ability to lift with a hydraulic system so you can drive the 4-wheeler right up on the back and put the shell back down.  This should also help while loading up for the beach.

Finley has cooperated a few times during the day by sleeping in her bouncer while I get a little sun and read for a few minutes.  It probably takes more time to set up a space for her than the time that I am actually outside.
