37 Weeks Pregnant

37 WEEKS

Baby Size: Baby Snead is the size of a canary melon, 6.5 lbs,19 inches long
Craves: solid milk chocolate Easter bunnies, salad
Dislikes: not a lot on this list other than ground turkey which I haven't wanted at all through pregnancy
Symptoms: back pain, swollen feet/ankles, higher blood pressure
Momma Weight: 165

At this weeks appointment baby's heart rate was in the 130s and then would go up when she moved.  She is still very active especially in the evenings.  I've been having more cramping feeling which are likely contractions and still haven't been able to sleep very well.  I've been eating my dates and drinking my pregnancy tea which are both supposed to help with labor, but we shall see!  Today I finished organizing the nursery and pretty much finished my hospital bag and baby bag.  I also worked on sterilizing bottles and breast pump accessories so they will be ready as well.

We weren't able to work in the nursery last weekend because Jeff had the flu.  I was on tamiflu all week which made me nauseaous.  Luckily I did not get the flu though!  Jeff set up a mattress in the living room and slept there for a few nights just to keep the germs away.  The dogs kept him plenty of company and I tried to stay 6 feet away.  We are both happy that he is back to normal now and was able to wash and detail all of the vehicles over the last couple of days!  Emily and Hailey were on spring break so we got so spend some time with them, although I was at work all week.

Pregnancy and School

Judy has been great at capturing a few moments at school for Amy and I to remember about work and our pregnancies.  It has been so nice to have her to share this experience with from the very beginning.  Amy is due April 2nd so we are about two and a half weeks apart.  I can't wait to meet our girls and then have them meet each other and hopefully grow up together as friends!

35 Weeks Pregnant

35 WEEKS

Baby Size: Baby Snead is the size of a spaghetti squash, 5.25 lbs,18 inches long
Craves: solid milk chocolate Easter bunnies, salads with honey mustard dressing
Dislikes: not a lot on this list other than ground turkey which I haven't wanted at all through pregnancy
Symptoms: back pain, swollen feet/ankles, higher blood pressure
Momma Weight: 164

My blood pressure was elevated the last two appointments.  Last week it was 132/82 and this week we started at 150/80 and got it down to 142/82 before leaving the appointment.  The doctor is not overly concerned yet.  It would need to be 140/90 to worry because I have no other signs of preeclampsia.  I definitely have some sore/swollen feet and ankles that go down over night, but immediately start to swell in the morning.  They are no good by the time I've been at work all day so I'm trying to be better about putting my feet up at work and definitely when I get home.

Baby still has hiccups several times a day and is moving a lot.  She is head down and constantly has one foot on the left of the my belly and one foot way over to the right.  Her heart beat was 138 at this week's appointment.

A little heel poking out on the left of my belly

New Truck!

Knowing that Baby Snead will be here soon, we made a quick trip to northern VA and bought a new truck that will accommodate all of us on our beach trip!  We've been researching and looking for quite a while now and finally picked out just what we wanted - 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500 High Country edition diesel in graphite metallic.  It is loaded with everything we could possibly need including under seat storage, heated and cooled seats, lane assist, etc.

Since then we've ordered a matching camper shell with a hydraulic lift so that the 4-wheeler will be able to fit under the camper shell and we won't ever have to take it off.  The camper shell is perfect for the beach because we can fit any and everything back there and know that it will be dry and secure.  Of course Jeff already ordered a new trailer hitch called stow and go that fits the boat and anything else we will tow, but it can also be turned so that it doesn't stick out and hit you in the leg when you walk by.  Trust me, you want one of these!

Baby Shower

Megan, Amy, and Jenn planned a wonderful baby shower for us!  They took the woodland theme of Baby Snead's nursery and ran with it.  The shower was held at the Crozet Fire Station which made it convenient for almost everyone.  Jeff's parents were able to help set everything up and break everything down as well.

I LOVED all of the details from the table settings to the food to the cake which was amazing.  You all know how much I love lemon and Chandler's never fails to disappoint. Megan and Amy put in lots of work making the rest of the food and it was all delicious!  Baby Snead and I felt the love from so many friends and family members:)  Jeff had fun opening everything again once we got home!  A special thanks to Megan for the long trip down to help out and for bringing me more maternity clothes and another stroller!  Jenn made some amazing crocheted items for Baby Snead.  I can't even imagine how long it took her to make everything, but I love each and every piece!

One of our games :)
