Finley is 1 Month Old

We took Finley to the doctor for her one month appointment (one day after her actually birthdate) and baby girl has been doing some growing!

Weight: 8lbs 8oz

Head: 14.25 inches

Length: 20.5 inches

Everything else looked good!  She does have a small red hemangioma on her chest that may grow until she is one year old and then should start to fade. We discussed the constant spit up and wild grunting/kicking during her sleep.  The doctor suggested that we slightly elevate her bed to see if that helps.  Hopefully this is just a short stage because no one can get any sleep with all of the constant loud noises that she makes when she is sound asleep.  

We did some practice photos in between all of our eating today!  Hopefully when Grandma comes down we will be able to get some good ones and Finley will cooperate.  Wishful thinking!

Meanwhile we have some house finches that have built a nest in the hanging fern at the front door.  They started with one egg that must have been bad because it got kicked out.  Two days later the mama started laying more and now we have six!
