Today marked a big day for the girls; they both went out into the deep water with Jeff and I. They learned how to time the waves and jump up with them or go under them. It took a little bit of time, but they both started to get the hang of it. I hadn't been out in the deep water in almost twenty years so it took me a few minutes to feel comfortable too. While the girls bobbed up and down we searched for shells with our feet. I was able to pull up to large conch shells, but they were broken. Goggles helped the girls in the water because yes, that salt water does burn!
Military jets were doing some touch and go training at the airport close by so we were able to watch them fly by and hear their loud engines.

Snack time! There were lots of grapes and strawberries eaten this week!
Military jets are LOUD.
This afternoon we had some ham and cheese poppy seed sliders that I made and then MeeMee and PawPaw came down to visit. The girls did not want to waste anytime and took them down to the beach. The weather was perfect, in the 80's and not humid and plenty breezy.
The girls played "college" and had baking classes in the sand, making all kinds of good sand food including crabby patties. MeeMee was their main customer. It was super nice to have the canopy in the afternoons so they could play in the shade.
So sweet!

Butch, Jeff and I went to Willis's to get dinner for the night after showering up. This time we came away with flounder and 2lbs of shrimp. We decided to bake half the flounder and fry the other half since that is Hailey's favorite. The seafood has yet to disappoint us. It's not cheap, so thank you to Butch and Debbie who paid for it each night they were with us!
After dinner the games ensued. This is when we broke out the good set of ladder golf and that's always when my good game kicked in. I had a hard time losing and kept Jeff and Butch pretty busy!
Cheerleaders - who happened to eat half a box of Chips Ahoy for dessert! So much for asking us how many they could have;)
Wonder who took that one?
It was a perfect day and even better evening!
