We kicked off the weekend with yummy salads for dinner at the Bistro in Staunton, followed by mini golf at Waynesboro Golf Center. Let's just say that I need to work on my putting skills. A few years off from playing golf or putting was apparent by my score! Jeff didn't seem to have any issues. :)

Saturday morning we took a trip down to our lake for some fishing. I practiced using a larger hook with a worm, so I didn't catch anything. Jeff used his fly rod to catch some bluegills and Emily caught a bass with her little white grub. It was a gorgeous day to be outside!

We ended the night with a cookout; complete with burgers, dogs, and homemade potato salad and homemade baked beans that Jeff and I made. My parents came down for dinner and tested out the new couch they bought for us! It looks fantastic and is very comfortable!
Sunday we went on a mission to find a new mattress....what a process! We went to a couple of places before we narrowed down our choice of a hybrid (foam and springs) with an adjustable base. I think we spent 2 hours on the last two mattress choices before we finally picked one. Now we just need to wait on delivery!
