Apple Picking, Pumpkins and PaPa

Emily and Hailey were able to play in their new playroom in the basement and sleep in their tent this weekend.  It was just us and Emily Friday night so we went to eat at Cracker Barrel and then Sunday it was just Hailey and I.

We went to Walmart and picked out what kind of cake she wants me to make for her birthday as well as some ideas for birthday gifts.  This was followed by lunch at Greenleaf with my parents.  We stopped by and picked up two pumpkins for us and two for my parents at a roadside stand that was selling them 2 for $5.  You can't beat that!

After dropping off pumpkins at my parents and playing with PaPa (Hailey wore him out!), we headed over the mountain to Chiles because Hailey wanted apple cider doughnuts.  We ended up fighting the gnats and picked some granny smith apples (the only ones that were available this week) to use for a pie.  Those are Hailey's favorite to eat as well.  We ended up grabbing an apple cider slushee and some red delicious apples as well.

Hailey and I dropped off some doughnuts with my parents and then went home to start on our apple pies.  She was able to help a lot and even though we haven't tried them yet, they smelled amazing and looked just as good!  Jeff's favorite pie is apple, so he will have a nice treat when he comes home from work. :)

I think we've had selfies at the orchard for at least 7 years now
