Daddy is Gone for the Week

This week Daddy was gone to Bugg's Island with the boys and we missed him terribly.  We are glad that he enjoyed his trip, but happy to have him home!  I almost always do drop off and pick up from NaNa's, but having some help in the morning or evenings when Jeff is coming home from work or off of work helps a lot!

The mornings and evenings are so busy and I feel like I never get enough time with Finley.  Everything is rushed as I try to fit in as much time as possible with Fin but also get everything done.  In the morning I have to pack her extra clothes, bibs, etc.  plus a cooler with bottles, pump a fresh bottle for the day, pack my lunch and pumping equipment, feed and walk the dogs, get Finley dressed and fed, etc.

When I get home I have to unpack everything, label and portion bottles for the next day, wash pumping parts, wash bottles, feed the dogs, feed Finley and give her a bath and maybe have time to eat something for dinner before nursing and putting her down by 7:00 pm.   During this entire time I am trying to fit in enough tummy time, practice sitting, reading and singing. There are just not enough hours in the day for me to love on my baby girl!

Doing double duty- getting some tummy/rolling time in while Mama dries her hair in the bathroom!

Can you hear the happiness?  Can you hear the laughter?  Love this so much!

We took lots of selfies this week to send to Dada.

Finley has had this on going rash under her neck and on her chest.  For some reason it is always worse at NaNa's house, so we are trying to figure out if it is an allergy to a blanket or if it is just from drool or what.  The doctor said to put Aquaphor on it, but that only made it worse.  My latest theory is that her neck is resting on her chest in the swing when she naps and that it doesn't get any air.  She isn't in a swing or bouncy at home anymore so I am thinking this my be the culprit.

Finley wore her fishing outfit for Daddy's return home today!

So happy to have Dada home again!
