Finley is 21 Months Old!

 

Weight: 22 lbs 4 oz

Teeth: Two bottom teeth, six top teeth!  4 molars (two top and two bottom), incisors

I love to: 

• Read, read, read - still at the top of my list! 
• Elmo- I have been holding on tight to my soft Elmo that was in my stocking.  I have to have him to sleep at night.  During the day, I love to dance with my dancing Elmo and watch Elmo or play with all of my Sesame Street figurines and read my Elmo books at YaYa's house.  
• I love to chase Marley all over the house and scream "chase."  I try to be gentle, but sometimes I hit him with my fishing rod and get in trouble. 
• I love Elmo's holiday video.  I ask to watch Elmo "with a hat."  Santa is part of the video and I don't like him, but I LOVE when all of the Sesame Street characters sing Jingle Bells.  I dance and jump up and down when this part comes on.  
• I love to play pretend with my baby dolls.  I push them around the house in the stroller, put them in a highchair to feed them and set up tea parties.
• 
  

I can: 

• Count to 20!
• I no longer make animal sounds for all of the farm animals, but instead call them by their names.  I also say Marley instead of Mar Mar.  
• I know my shapes - circle, square, triangle, star, and cross.  
• I know the difference between big and small and often point out things like my "big Elmo and small Elmo."  
• I "read" all of the big words in my ABC science book when asked what the letters stand for - H is for "habitat", N- is for nocturnal, etc.  Mommy was shocked to hear these words!
• I tell stories using several words and have Mommy fill in the rest - for example after we saw a hawk outside, I like to tell the story - Hawk, flapped, flew, big!  The hawk flapped his wings, flew away and he was big!  Or about the moon - moon, Daddy, cold, brrrr! Daddy took me outside to see the moon.  It was cold, Brrr!
• I started sleeping better!! woohoo!  I slept through the night 4 times in a row recently!

• Mac and cheese (by far the favorite!)

• Prunes
• Raisins
• Raspberries
• Blackberries

• Garden salsa Sunchips

• Ham

I don't like to eat:

• Vegetables and meats unless they are lunch meats

Favorite songs:

• Country music on Pandora - especially George Strait and Alan Jackson.  I run to Daddy when these artists come on and make him dance with me and sing to me.  I call these Dada's songs. 
• Elmo's songs
• Any of the Super Simple songs or Patty Shukla

Favorite books:

I love them all, but rotate through favorites that I want to hear each day.  Some are added to the list daily and some are taken off daily.
