And, we are off on our first spring beach trip ever thanks to remote learning! We are headed to Waves, NC south of Nags Head. YaYa hasn't been to the beach in about 20 years so this is big trip for her!
And, we are here! The house was actually nicer than I expected! It is HUGE. It has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Most importantly it is super clean and has a pool and is just across the street from beach access.
Finley had her own room which was so nice.

I found Hatteras Bowls on Facebook before we left for our trip and knew it was something that I would have to try. So for Mother's Day Jeff and I stopped on our way to the grocery store and I got a mid morning snack. OMG it was amazing! An acai bowl with strawberries, bananas, peanut butter, flax, honey and chocolate chips.
Despite being chilly we knew that looking at the forecast this might be the best day of the week so we braved the cold water and got into the pool!
Then it was back out on the beach after Finn's nap. She loves watching the waves and seagulls.
Jeff and I ran to the seafood market and got crab cakes and shrimp for dinner. So delicious!
