Christmas morning started out early - 5:30 am with Finley's usually wake up time. She came right out and saw her dinosaur train set first. :) Then she saw her other dinosaurs and big pink tent that she had to check out. Eventually it was on to opening stockings and other presents. Like last year, she only ended up opening a few of her wrapped gifts and was content playing with everything else.
Once we showered, we headed up to YaYa's house for brunch. We brought cinnamon rolls and bacon with us and YaYa had cookies, eggs, spinach bake, fruit, ham biscuits, etc. It was all very yummy. The girls opened up gifts with YaYa and Mike and then we had to head back home for Finley's nap. Emily spent the afternoon with her Mom. Jeff and I opened our gifts while Finn was sleeping and then we went back up to YaYa's for baked potatoes and to finish opening our gifts. It's nice to slow things down and make a long day out of it all. It makes for a long day, but it's also nice to be busy for the most part. It is always hard getting through holidays without my dad.
