39 WEEKS
Baby Size: Baby Snead is the size of a honeydew melon, 7-8 lbs, 19-21 inches long
Craves: solid milk chocolate Easter bunnies, salad, waffles with chocolate chips, cinnamon cereal
Dislikes: not a lot on this list other than ground turkey which I haven't wanted at all through pregnancy
Symptoms: back pain, swollen feet/ankles, not as hungry, some contractions on and off
Momma Weight: 167
At this week's appointment, Dr. Brooks decided that it would be best to to schedule my induction for Monday, April 15th. We had already decided that inducing on or before my due date would be the best option due to my age. Soooooooo, we are are on the books for Monday as long as they aren't too busy in labor and delivery. We have to call at 6:00 am to check in and then show up at 7:00 am to get started. I am able to eat a light breakfast before heading to the hospital so I am happy about that! Here's to hoping that things go smoothly and quickly!
Baby's heartbeat was good and the US showed her head super low and ready! I've had some contractions on and off, but other than that and a couple headaches and swelling of my feet I've been feeling good. Our bags are packed, the house is clean, and I think we are ready! Welllll, other than her name.....we keep going back and forth so we may just have to meet her to decide!
Friday was my LAST day of work for the year! Woot woot! If she comes on Monday during the induction I will have worked right up until her birth! My students were not happy about me leaving, but they left me with many cute cards and lots of hugs!
Emily and I got pedicures yesterday as a nice little girls day before the baby arrives. I was hoping it might get something started on its own along with the lemon meringue pie that we had, but so far no such luck!
