Ready for Christmas!

When you rarely get to leave the house, why not decorate for Christmas on the first day of November?!  We wanted to be able to enjoy the decor for as long as possible.  There is nothing like the glow of lights in the house each evening. :)

When Finley woke up from her nap all of the fall decorations were down and everything but the tree was complete.  She was in awe of the lights and decorations.  She wanted to read all of her Christmas books and immediately learned the words for wreath, garland, stockings and mistletoe.  I still don't know how she learns words so quickly!  You can't pass underneath the mistletoe without her asking for a kiss.  She is such a sweet girl! The lights were so exciting that every time she was just about asleep while nursing she would pop up and point to the decorations and say "wreath", "garland", "tree."  I have a feeling she is going to be just as excited about all things Christmas as Jeff and I are.

Hallmark movies :)

Finn helped decorate the tree and loved looking at all of the ornaments.  We did not put the glass balls on the tree this year.  She did get her hands on one and threw it thinking it was a ball so that one didn't make it.  The tree is in the corner of the dining room, now playroom, so we will see if she leaves it alone. :)
