Finley's birthday naturally fell on a Saturday, right before Easter so we had her party on her actual birthday and then had to turn around and get ready for Easter the next day!
Finley requested a Blue's Clues birthday party, even though she is now a huge fan of Peppa Pig as well! I took Friday off so that I could work on her decorations and bake her cake and cupcakes. I absolutely love the craftiness of making banners, cake toppers, etc. and actually baking the cakes but it is exhausting. This year I made a white cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and chocolate coffee cupcakes with peanut butter icing. Finley was a fan of both! My mom, Paw Paw, and Aunt Pat came over for her party. It was nice to be able to do something with family. I am guessing next year she will want to invite some friends from school.
Finley's favorite gift was her Peppa Pig playhouse with a seesaw, swings and all of the Peppa Pig figurines.
