Last night we moved Finley crib into her own room after much debate. We both knew that it needed to happen, but neither one of us was really ready. We set up the crib before her afternoon nap and she did fine in it. She had been sleeping in the pack n play in her bedroom so that wasn't a surprise. It's a good thing that Jeff moved her crib while I was out of the house because I probably would have stopped him. I immediately wanted to move it back to our room. haha.
Note: We got a new monitor a few days ago so that we would be prepared for the big move. It allows us to watch her as well as hear her. The monitor we were using was one that was just sound and we had one of our arlo cameras in her room to check on her. For now, we are going to leave both cameras in there. The monitor turns on when she makes a sound so I will be able to see her immediately when she wakes up. The arlo camera detects motion, so I can at least go back and check to see when the last time she moved was if I haven't heard anything for a while.
As you can see, she moved around a few times after we put her down, but by 7:15 pm she was snoozing away. The move clearly didn't disturb her very much. I, on the other hand, had such a hard time trying to go to sleep without her crib right next to me. Fifteen and a half months is a long time! After I shed some tears and Jeff reassured me that it was best for her, I was able to get some sleep on and off between all of the times that I checked on her. She ended up sleeping from 7:15 pm to 5:30 am and was only up once at 2:00 am. I call that a win! Hopefully each night will get easier for me and she will continue to do well!
