Reading is always part of the morning routine!
How many pots of green beans have we cooked this season? At least four...I am losing count!
We need to replace the tree in our front yard so we made a trip to the garden center to look at prices and pick up some cold weather plants for the garden. We ended up with broccoli, cauliflower and brussel sprouts.
Finley has rarely gotten out of the house in the last six months because of COVID, so she was very happy to run around and look at all of the plants!
After the garden center, we took Finn to Kline's for her first milkshake and ice cream experience. Only the drive thru is open, so we got our ice cream and drove to the park to eat it. Unfortunately there are so many geese at the park that we had a hard time even finding a place to sit or walk around because of all of the poop! Yuck.
It is fair to say she much preferred Dada's chocolate shake to Mama's vanilla ice cream. She said "more" plenty of times!
Finley wanted to walk over to the geese and was not happy when it was time to go home.
Finn loves watching Simple Songs - nursery rhymes, especially Old MacDonald. We rarely let her have screen time, but I have been using these quick songs to get her to sit still to trim her fingernails.
These two...
Another sweaty workout done.
Finn's fun food truck at YaYa's.
Exploring at YaYa's house while Dada puts up YaYa's new birdfeeder.
Yep, it is time to get ready for FALL!! We started it off right with a couple of pumpkin pies. Toots loves being able to watch the mixer and help any way that she can.
Finn's signature move - pat the seat for someone to sit down with her. :)
Grilled chicken pesto bowl with chard, squash, zucchini, and tomatoes from the garden.
Watching the hummingbirds.
