Jeff is in Quarantine...UGH!!

Jeff texted me this morning and said call me when you get up.  I knew that had to mean that something bad had happened!  He let me know that someone working OT came down with COVID like symptoms when he got home from work so the whole shift had to be quarantined until his test results come back.  Soooo, we quickly put a plan into place to make sure that we were overly cautious just in case there was a positive result.

Jeff stayed in the garage until I was able to take some things to the basement for him. The plan was for him to stay outside or in the basement so there would be no chance of spreading anything.  I took his toiletries, sheets, clothes, a thermometer, etc. downstairs and left them for him.  Meanwhile, Finley screamed at the door for Dada.  Talk about heartbreaking! Jeff was able to make up the queen mattress that we had on the floor which we were both thankful didn't get taken to the dump.  Unfortunately we had just moved everything that needed to be sold or donated to the middle of the floor so we could take pictures and organize and put away.  He got to spend his time in the middle of a big mess!  haha

I delivered him an egg sandwich for lunch by setting it at the stop of the stairs.

Thankfully Hailey was here so she could help with Finley!

Of course she decided to play with Finn's hair....so funny!

While Jeff was in the basement he worked pretty much all day on a learning tower for Finley.  Luckily we had just gotten the supplies from Lowe's so it gave him something productive to do while passing the time.  He was outside with the saw several times and Finley did not understand why she couldn't go see him.

His dinner delivered on a paper plate..ha!

We played on the deck while Dada ate his dinner in the shade of a tree in the backyard.

After what felt like the longest day ever, Finley went to bed, I made ice cream for the quarantined and we both watched television from different floors!

A look at the disaster and Jeff's living quarters...

Thankfully the test can back negative and Jeff got the call that he would rejoin us at 9:00 am the next day!!  Unfortunately, he got dressed and left to go to a SWAT call out and was gone the rest of that day too!  We will be thankful when things are back to normal.
