Birthday Prep and TREES!

We've spent a couple of days working out (or trying to anyhow), baking birthday cakes, and on a constant mission to go outside and look at all of the trees!

This is what happens when I am trying to workout and Jeff is at work...I get it done eventually, but this is pretty normal depiction.

Toots actually went out the doggie door with two of her toys!  This girl is something else!

Oh, I forgot to mention, we are also hitting the road in this pink bad boy quite frequently throughout the days as well!

We are working on getting juice down to help with constipation as well.  Finn still does not drink much of anything other than breast milk.

A little taste of PBJ...

The trees are the most exciting thing in the world to this little cutie.  She gets soooo excited to see them blow in the wind that she kicks her legs and squeals.  She was afraid of them at first but now she will touch the leaves and blossoms and pull them off.

Our routine is something like this-- pointing at the back door, walking out to the deck, pointing to the stairs, down the stairs we go, and pointing at one tree to the next in the back yard.  The same thing happens in the front yard if she gets close the front door or garage door. :)

We tried some cut blueberries, yogurt, mac n cheese, green beans and yogurt for lunch...lots of play, not much eating.

Thank goodness Dada was home from work to help with the cakes today!  I made two cakes (one lemon with chocolate icing for us and one yellow with vanilla buttercream for Finn) from scratch.  It was quite a process to get it all done, cool them, make the icing and then actually ice them.  Lucky for me, Dada does all of the dishes!

Toots was entertained by anything we gave her in the kitchen, hence the toothpick container.

She really enjoyed watching the baking process as well.  I can't wait until we have one of those kitchen helper stools for her to stand in so she can start helping.

Two six inch cakes for Finn

Lets not forget lots of time READING!

And, lots of WALKS...

Icing coming along...

Jeff has been working on my craft room and it is coming along nicely!  I was so excited to be able to use it to make Finley's onesie for her birthday:)  I LOVE a nice clean organized space to work.  I am lucky to have someone that is talented enough to make it happen for me.

Before we were out of school for the virus, I made Finley's birthday invitation on my computer.  It took me a LONG time to figure out how to do the formatting and colors so that it looked the way I wanted it too, but I am so pleased with the way it turned out.  Unfortunately, I am going to have to put this copy away for a few months and hopefully plan another party for Finley when it is safe.  Either way, I am keeping a copy:)
