Finn's First Time Dying Easter Eggs

I know some people would think it is pointless to dye eggs with an 11 month old, but it is important for me to stick to traditions no matter how messy or difficult they are with little ones.  It is all about the experience and remembering doing these things each year.

I decided to look for a way that Finley could actually participate in the egg dying experience and came across a technique using rice.  You put rice in a bag or cup with some food coloring and then put the egg in and shake the bag.  It was such an easy and clean process.  Finley loves to shake things so this was right up her alley. I'd be lying if I said she didn't break any.  I think most bags that she had in her hands ended up on the floor at some point, but it gave us something to laugh about.  I think the eggs came out pretty neat looking with the rice effect.

Since Emily has been home so much more, Jeff has put her to work in the kitchen each night.  She has been helping prep and cook dinner.  I think it is fair to say that she has learned a lot!  She even grilled hamburgers all on her own.

Yogurt might be Finn's favorite!  She never has a problem eating plenty of it or even letting you feed her some.
